  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups frozen waffles
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place buttermilk and eggs in another bowl; dip chicken thighs in the mixture, then coat thoroughly in the seasoned flour.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 8 minutes per side.
  4. While chicken cooks, prepare waffles according to package directions and keep warm.
  5. Arrange the waffles and fried chicken in a clear glass baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley and grated Parmesan over the dish.
  7. Warm honey in a small saucepan or microwave until fluid.
  8. Drizzle the honey generously over the chicken and waffles and serve immediately.
