Ingredients

  • 8 ounces halloumi, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons toasted pistachios
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Warm flatbread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the halloumi dry and slice into thick planks.
  2. Warm the olive oil in a skillet and sear the cheese until both sides are deeply golden.
  3. Heat the honey with chili flakes just until loose and fragrant.
  4. Arrange the halloumi on a platter and spoon the hot honey over the top.
  5. Finish with lemon zest, lemon juice, pistachios, and mint.
  6. Serve warm with flatbread or crisp crackers.
