Freshest Japanese Fruit Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup kiwi, sliced
  • 1 cup mango, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  2. Spread a thin layer of the whipped cream on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer sliced strawberries, kiwi, and mango on half of the bread slices.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, cream-side down.
  5. Cover the sandwiches with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 minutes to set.
  6. Cut each sandwich into 3 equal-sized pieces diagonally.
  7. Dust the sandwich pieces with powdered sugar before serving.
